Anthias and Screenly now in Raspberry Pi Imager

We’re excited to announce that both Anthias and Screenly are now featured in the official Raspberry Pi Imager software. For those not familiar with Raspberry Pi Imager, it is the official disk SD Card imaging tool from the Raspberry Pi Foundation used to distribute Raspberry Pi OS.

Prior to this, our recommended method for building your own player was to first download the disk image, then manually validate the download using the MD5 hash, and then finally flash it out to an SD card using Balena Etcher.

With Raspberry Pi Imager, you can now skip the first two steps, as validation and download of the latest disk image is built into the software.

You can find Anthias under Other specific-purpose OS and Screenly under Freemium and paid-for OS -> Digital Signage OS.

After you’ve selected your system, Imager will then automatically download the latest disk image, cryptographically verify that the download was correct, and then finally flash it out to your SD card.
