Welcome to the second edition of our monthly newsletter, where we share news from the digital signage industry, Screenly product updates, and stories. This month, we have exciting updates on new apps and integrations, new Screenly team members, and digital signage industry events.

Screenly OS 4.4.0 release
We released Screenly OS 4.4.0, which adds a Diagnostics page to streamline device onboarding and troubleshooting. This provides real-time visibility into critical hardware health metrics, including CPU temperature, memory allocation, and network throughput.

Grafana app & integration launch
We launched a new Grafana app and integration, making it easier to view real-time data and metrics on your Screenly screens.
Now, teams can show Grafana dashboards, infrastructure metrics, and analytics right on Screenly displays, without authentication issues. You can try our new Grafana app here.
Power BI integration improvements
We improved our Power BI integration with better stability and new dashboard refresh controls. These improvements came from customer feedback requests. We listen!
These updates provide:
- Improved rendering reliability
- Better dashboard load handling
- More predictable refresh behavior
These changes help keep important dashboards accurate and always visible on your screens. You can try the app here.

Google Calendar App enhancements
We also updated our Google Calendar App, adding features that customers requested to make their schedules easier to view and manage.

Welcoming Ioann to Screenly
We were also excited to welcome Ioann to the Screenly team.
Ioann is widely known in the digital signage community as the moderator of r/digitalsignage and the creator of SignageList, one of the largest directories of digital signage software platforms.
His passion for the industry, involvement in open-source digital signage development, and focus on building community align well with Screenly’s mission and vision for the signage industry at large.
Ioann shared more about his journey and his decision to join Screenly on his blog. Welcome to the team, Ioann!

Security & trust
At Screenly, we always put security first, from how we design our platform to how we deploy it.
To build on that commitment and make responsible disclosure easier, we launched Screenly’s Bug Bounty and Vulnerability Disclosure Program on September 25, 2025.
This program lets security researchers provide feedback so we can find issues faster, strengthen our platform, and maintain our customers’ and partners’ trust.
We recently shared a detailed blog post about the program, how it works, and some real-world challenges we’ve faced, such as sorting reports and maintaining quality as more people submit issues.

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026: Barcelona
Last month, our team attended one of the industry’s main events, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona.
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona is known as one of the world’s top exhibitions for AV, systems integration, and digital signage technology. The event brings together display makers, signage software companies, infrastructure providers, and solution integrators. It’s a key place for anyone building or running large-scale networks.
Screenly attended, and we had a great time meeting with partners, customers, and other industry professionals. At the event, our team showcased Screenly’s secure-by-design platform, discussed scalable digital signage deployments with partners, and met with AV integrators and solution providers. We also learned more about infrastructure needs in enterprise environments and how signage networks are evolving.
That’s all for now
That’s it for this edition of Screenly Sync.
Over the past month, we’ve focused on product updates, integrations, industry events, and security to strengthen the Screenly platform and community. In the next few weeks and months, we’ll be adding more apps and integrations.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for the next Screenly Sync!
