We’re thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Screenly hardware family, the Screenly Player Max Mk3. Built for enterprises that demand rock-solid performance and secure digital signage, the Mk3 takes everything we learned from the Screenly Player Max Mk2 and pushes it forward with a faster processor, faster memory, nearly double the storage, and now, content mirroring on up to four screens.
If you’re running content-heavy dashboards, 4K video walls, complex web applications, or custom digital signage Edge Apps on your screens in environments where security is paramount, the Mk3 was built for you.
What’s new in the Screenly Player Max Mk3?
The Screenly Player Max Mk3 is a significant hardware upgrade over its predecessor, the Mk2. Here’s what changed and why it matters.
A faster, more efficient processor
The Mk3 is powered by an Intel® Core™ 3 100U processor, stepping up from the Intel i3-1315U in the Mk2. This newer-generation chip delivers improved performance and efficiency, meaning your signage content renders faster and the player handles demanding workloads, like heavy web applications, real-time dashboards, and 4K media.
DDR5 memory
While both the Mk2 and Mk3 feature 16 GB of RAM, the Mk3 upgrades from DDR4 to DDR5. DDR5 delivers significantly higher memory bandwidth, which translates to smoother multitasking, faster content loading, and better overall responsiveness, especially when driving multiple displays or rendering complex web content.
Nearly double the storage
Storage jumps from 256 GB on the Mk2 to 500 GB PCIe4 on the Mk3. That’s nearly twice the space for locally cached content, which is a big deal for deployments that rely on Screenly’s content caching to keep screens running even when connectivity is intermittent. More storage means more content cached locally, and PCIe4 means it loads fast.
Drive up to four screens from a single device
The Screenly Player Max Mk3 can display the same content simultaneously on up to 4 connected screens. This is a game-changer for environments like retail storefronts, airport terminals, conference lobbies, and manufacturing floors where you need the same message displayed across multiple screens without deploying (and licensing) a separate player for each one.
One player. One license. Four screens showing your content in perfect sync.
