## Hardware types

Android TVs, Android-based commercial displays, tablets, and streaming boxes.

Commercial displays with Android built into the panel are worth calling out, because they remove the separate player from the installation entirely.

## What the app is

The Android app is our web app packaged for Android, so it behaves the same as the browser route with a launcher that is easier to live with on a television.

## Consumer televisions

These are the harder case. Some ship with a security or power-management app that blocks an app from starting on boot at all, which is the setting that decides whether a screen comes back after a power cut.
