# Where it runs

> The operating systems and devices that can run Screenly Anywhere in a browser, and what to expect from each.
The browser route works on anything with a current browser that can stay powered on and online.

## Desktop systems

Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS. These are the most predictable, because you can control sleep, autostart, and kiosk mode.

There is no separate Windows app. Windows uses this route, run in kiosk mode.

## Tablets

An iPad can run it, though not every unattended setting has an equivalent on iPadOS. Treat a tablet as a screen someone can reach rather than one mounted out of the way.

## Smart TVs

Some televisions have a browser good enough to run it. Whether yours does is a question of that specific set.

If you have a Samsung or LG display, check the platform page first: [Samsung Tizen / SSSP](/docs/anywhere/platforms/samsung-tizen/) and [LG webOS](/docs/anywhere/platforms/lg-webos/) have their own routes and their own supported model lists.
