# Digital signage on LG webOS

> Run Screenly on an LG webOS television using the browser built into the set. Nothing installed on the display, and no separate media player.
LG televisions running webOS include a web browser, and that is enough to turn one into a managed Screenly screen. Nothing is installed on the display, and no separate player is needed.

For a television already mounted on a wall, this is the shortest route to putting it under management.

## How it works

Open the television's Web Browser app and go to the Anywhere address. The screen shows a pairing code, you enter it in your dashboard, and the television joins your fleet.

Because it runs in the built-in browser, there is nothing on the set to update.

## What it is good for

Televisions you already own. A webOS set in a meeting room, a reception area, or a break room can start showing managed content without new hardware.

Sites where you cannot add a device. No player means no extra power outlet, no HDMI input consumed, and nothing hanging off the back of the set.

## What to weigh against it

Support today is for webOS TV, the consumer line. webOS Signage, also sold as webOS for Pro or Commercial, is LG's platform for business and industrial displays, and it is not supported yet. It is on our roadmap.

The bigger practical issue is that a consumer television is built to switch itself off after a few hours without remote input. On a signage screen nobody ever picks up a remote, so the set reaches that timer every day. It is the single most common cause of an LG screen going dark, and it is fixable in the television's own settings. See [Keep it running unattended](/docs/anywhere/platforms/lg-webos/guides/keep-it-running/).

## Get started

[Open it and pair the screen](/docs/anywhere/platforms/lg-webos/guides/open-it/) from the television's browser.
