The billing page

Your plan, next billing date, billing email, and the three license counters. What each one is telling you.

Reached from Settings, then the Billing & Subscription button. It is a page rather than a settings tab.

The summary

Your plan, for example Starter Plan Monthly.

Status: Active, Trialing, or Canceled. A cancelled subscription keeps running until the end of the period you paid for, so Canceled and still playing is a normal combination.

Next billing, the date of the next charge.

Billing email, the address invoices go to. Worth checking that it is a finance address rather than whoever happened to sign up, since that is who receives every invoice.

The three license counters

CounterWhat it means
Total license poolWhat your subscription includes
Assigned licensesIn use by active screens
Available licensesFree to connect a screen with

Available is the number to look at before a rollout. Connecting a screen with none free fails, and the fix is either buying more or disabling a screen you are not using.

If a pool looks fuller than expected, look for disabled-but-not-really screens: a screen that is enabled and offline still holds its license.

Managing the subscription

Manage subscription opens the billing portal, where plan changes, license count, payment method, invoices, and billing details all live. See Change your plan or screen count.

If you are a child workspace

A banner says billing, payment methods, and subscription management are handled by the parent workspace, and there is no Manage subscription button.

The counters and the workspaces table still show, so you can see the shared pool and how it is distributed. To change anything, switch to the parent. See The license pool.
