New content has three tabs: Upload, Web, and Streaming. An app arrives by a different route, through the App store or the CLI, and lives under Apps, not in Content.

Four ways in: upload a file, add a URL, point at a stream, or install an app.

Upload files
Drag files in or pick them, upload straight into a folder, and what happens while a file is processing.
Add a URL
One field, two outcomes: a URL serving a file is fetched into your library, a URL serving a page becomes a live web page.
Add a live stream
RTSP from a camera or encoder, and local capture from a device plugged into the player. Neither is cached, so plan for the source dropping.
Install an app
Pick one from the App store, or deploy one you built with the CLI. Either way it appears under Apps, not in Content.
