Where settings live

Settings is split into Account and Workspace. A map of which tab holds what, so you stop looking in the wrong half.

Settings is in two places, and this is the single most common reason for looking in the wrong one. They were split apart in June 2026, so any guide older than that will send you to the wrong half.

Account settings, from your avatar menu, hold what belongs to you. They follow you into every workspace you belong to.

Workspace settings, from Settings in the main navigation, hold what belongs to this workspace and its screens.

Billing is its own page rather than a settings tab, and is visible only to Owners and Billing Managers.

The ones that surprise people

Passkeys are personal, under Account, not Workspace. They are how you sign in, and they work across every workspace you belong to.

API tokens are per workspace, under Workspace Security, even though a token carries your own permissions. See API tokens.

Tailscale is under Security, not Integrations, in a section called Tailscale on screens. It is about what your devices can reach rather than what the dashboard connects to. See Reaching your private network.

Privacy mode is on the screen, not in settings. It is per screen, on that screen’s Actions tab.
