# The playlists list


> What each column tells you, what total duration is for, and what search matches.
**Playlists** lists everything in the workspace with a thumbnail of its first item.

| Column | What it tells you |
| --- | --- |
| Title | The playlist name |
| Plays on | The screens and labels it targets |
| Duration | How long one full pass through it takes |
| Status | Enabled or Disabled |

## Duration is the loop length

The duration column adds up every item, which answers the question that matters on a wall: how long before someone standing there sees the same thing twice.

A four-minute rotation in a lift lobby is wrong, because nobody stands there for four minutes. Sorting by duration finds the playlists that have quietly grown past what their location can support.

## Status

**Disabled** means assigned but never playing. It is the fastest way to take a playlist out of service without dismantling it, and the first thing to check when a playlist that looks correct is not appearing.

A disabled playlist shows a banner across its own page, so you cannot edit one for ten minutes without noticing.

## Search

Search matches the title, the status, and the names of labels the playlist targets. Typing a label name lists every playlist aimed at it, which is how you find out what a given group of screens is actually showing.
