# What it is

> The first Screenly Player Max: an x86 machine with an 8th generation Intel i3, driving up to two screens.
The first Player Max, and an x86 machine rather than a Raspberry Pi.

It drives up to two screens, both showing the same picture, and it is the only Max that shipped with a VESA mount adapter in the box.

Its BIOS menus differ from later models, which is why [Power on automatically](/docs/screenly-players/models/player-max-mk1/guides/power-on-automatically/) is written separately for it.
