# Connect on an enterprise network

> Use WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1X on a Screenly Player, on Wi-Fi or wired ethernet, including alongside a static IP.
Corporate networks usually authenticate the device rather than accept a shared password. ScreenlyOS supports that on both Wi-Fi and wired ethernet.

## What is supported

**WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1X**, on wireless and on wired connections, including alongside a [static IP](/docs/screenlyos/networking/guides/set-a-static-ip/).

> [!IMPORTANT]
> The current implementation supports **PEAP only**. If your network requires a different EAP method, such as EAP-TLS, talk to us before you plan a rollout around it.

## How to configure it

802.1X is set up through the on-screen wizard on the player, the same one used for Wi-Fi and static addressing.

1. Connect a USB keyboard to the player.
2. Press **F2**.
3. Work through the wizard and enter your 802.1X credentials.

## If it will not authenticate

Confirm the network is offering PEAP rather than another EAP method. That is the most common reason a player fails on a network where laptops connect without trouble, because a laptop will negotiate a method the player does not implement.

Then check the player is on the right VLAN, and see [Diagnostic errors](/docs/screenlyos/networking/reference/diagnostics-errors/).
