Name and location are both required. Notes are optional and worth filling in anyway.
Name
The name is how the screen appears everywhere: the list, search, alerts, and the label created when it was paired.
Name for where the screen is, not for what it shows. What it shows changes; where it is does not. Frankfurt reception left survives a rebrand. Q3 campaign does not survive Q4.
Consistency matters more than cleverness. If names share a shape, Site, room, position, then searching for a site lists everything in it.
Location
An address, chosen from suggestions as you type, which also stores coordinates.
It matters for two reasons beyond record-keeping: it is what tells you where a screen physically is when someone has to go to it, and it is how the screen’s time zone is understood when you are reading its local time against a schedule.
Notes
A free text field, visible to everyone in the workspace.
This is for the things that are true of the physical installation and recorded nowhere else. Which cupboard the player is in. That the socket is switched at the wall. Who has the key. Which display input it is on.
The test is whether it would save someone a phone call at the site. If so, it belongs here.
