# Name and branding

> Rename the workspace, and set the logos and colors Screenly uses in place of its own.
On the **Workspace** tab.

## Name

What people see in the workspace switcher, and what appears in invitations. Rename it whenever; nothing depends on it.

The name is also what you type to confirm a [transfer of ownership](/docs/workspaces/people/manage-members/), which is the one moment it matters.

## Branding

Your logo and colors, held against the workspace so that where Screenly would show its own, it shows yours.

You set **two logos** and **three colors**, because backgrounds vary:

| Setting | Used on |
| --- | --- |
| Light logo | Dark backgrounds |
| Dark logo | Light backgrounds |
| Light color | Dark backgrounds |
| Dark color | Light backgrounds |
| Accent color | Highlighting important elements |

### Logo requirements

SVG, PNG, WebP, or JPEG, no larger than **1 MB**.

A bitmap must be exactly **512 by 512 pixels**. An SVG only has to be square.

Use the SVG if you have one. It stays sharp at any size and is usually the smallest file. A PNG with transparency is the next best thing, since it sits correctly on both the light and dark backgrounds.

### Getting it right

Upload the light and dark logos as an actual pair, not the same file twice. The point of having both is that a logo with dark lettering disappears on a dark background, and the failure is invisible until somebody sees the wrong one.

Check the accent color for contrast rather than picking it straight from a brand palette. Brand accents are chosen for print and for large areas, and some are unreadable as small text.
