The Calendar Edge App is a plug-and-play digital signage solution designed to showcase your calendar events directly from your calendar. Whether you’re highlighting upcoming meetings, team events, or personal appointments, this app keeps your community engaged and informed right from your Screenly powered displays.

Display Modes
The Calendar Edge App supports three display modes—monthly, weekly, and daily.
Obtaining the iCal URL
Go to your Google Calendar.
On the left sidebar, under “My calendars”, select the calendar you want to use.
Click on the three dots on the right side of the calendar and select “Settings and sharing”.
Scroll down until you see “Secret address in iCal format”. Click on the copy button to the right.
A “Security warning” will appear, saying that “[you] should not give the secret address to other people”. Click “OK” to continue.
The secret address will be copied to your clipboard, which you can use into the Edge App settings. With this iCal URL, you’re all set to use the Calendar Edge App.

One of many Edge Apps
The Calendar App is part of a larger Edge App ecosystem. With Screenly Edge Apps, users can build custom digital signage content that uses their business or third-party data quickly and easily. With the Calendar App, it’s possible to use it out of the box as is, and it is also possible to customise its styling and the information displayed. Additionally, users can edit triggers for when the Edge App content displays. These triggers can include significant changes to the Calendar App or changes that are expected to cause schedule delays.
