The scrollbar fix we shipped earlier this month, to stop the layout shifting when a scrollbar appears or disappears, was being applied too broadly: it reserved scrollbar space on every individual element, not just the page itself, adding subtle extra spacing inside nested scrollable areas like tables, dropdowns, and modals. It’s now scoped correctly to just the page, so nested scrollable areas no longer have that extra gap.

Screenly release notes from March 2026.
Clickable asset-failure notifications, and Safari fixes
When a video or image fails to process, the notification bell used to show a generic “processing failed, contact support” message with nothing to act on. It now names the specific asset and links straight to it, so you can go directly to what needs attention instead of hunting for it.
Safari rendering fixes
The scrollbar layout fix we shipped earlier this month had some rough edges in Safari: misaligned buttons, navbar icons, and table rows. Those are now fixed for Safari users specifically.
Fixed billing portal access for lapsed subscriptions, and a scrollbar layout fix
If your subscription had lapsed, or was never fully set up, opening the billing portal to manage your plan could fail outright with an error, leaving you with no way to fix your own billing without contacting support. The billing portal now handles this case correctly, so you can open it and manage your plan yourself.
Fixed a layout shift caused by the scrollbar
Pages whose content crossed the height of your browser window would show or hide a scrollbar depending on how much content was on the page, and that scrollbar appearing or disappearing shifted the entire layout sideways. The dashboard now always reserves space for the scrollbar, so the layout stays put whether or not one is actually needed.
A faster dashboard, and a new Apps page for browsing by category
The main dashboard you see after logging in has been rebuilt on our newer, faster interface. It looks and works the same, but pages now load and navigate faster.
A new Apps page for browsing by category
Apps now have their own dedicated page for browsing the catalog, separate from “My Apps,” which lists what you’ve already installed. You can search and filter by category, with a shortlist of the most common categories and an “Other” bucket for the rest, instead of scrolling through every app in one long list.
Both pages were rebuilt on the same faster interface as the dashboard above.
Fixes
- Visiting the new Apps page directly, rather than clicking to it from elsewhere in the dashboard, could leave it in a stale, blank state. It now loads correctly regardless of how you get there.
- Fixed several broken images introduced by the dashboard rebuild above, including onboarding and tour images and the “order a player” artwork.
- Removing someone from a workspace could leave a stale pending invitation behind in Settings > Workspace > Members. Those are now cleaned up automatically, including a one-time cleanup of any that had already accumulated.
- Fixed cases where the Network Setup Wizard had no effect on some screens, depending on how that screen’s network interface was named internally. Wi-Fi and Ethernet setup from the wizard now applies correctly regardless of interface naming.
